Exceptional employees honored

Commencement Breakfast awards 6.12.15This year’s Commencement Breakfast honored the many Centralia College faculty and staff who have made a difference in the lives of others through their service to the college.

“This breakfast is about honoring you,” College President Dr. Robert Frost remarked to the audience gathered in the cafeteria June 12.

After introducing board members and welcoming special guests, including the 2015 Distinguished Alumus Dr. David Carsten, Dr. Frost began by acknowledging the hard work of several departments around campus. From the Facilities, Operations, and Maintenance tea, which maintains the “cleanest, nicest, most well-kept facility in the galaxy” to the Student Services tea, which “kept serving students” in spite of many disruptions and challenges this year, Dr. Frost recognized the teamwork of the many employees who faithfully work behind the scenes.

“This is what is propelling us forward,” concluded Dr. Frost after highlighting the milestones and accomplishments of the past year.

Centralia College Trustee Doris Wood-Brumsickle addressed the audience with similar accolades on behalf of the Board of Trustees.
