CC presents ‘No, I am Not a Terrorist’

Centralia College will welcome Zohra Sarwari for a free lecture on the true nature of the Muslim religion at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the Corbet Theatre (Washington Hall) on the Centralia College campus. The event is free and open to everyone.

Sarwari is an international speaker, entrepreneur, publisher, mother, and author of 14 books. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in business administration. She is working towards a bachelor’s degree in Islamic studies. She has been featured widely on TV, including CBS and FOX News.  She has also been interviewed for many magazines, newspapers, radio shows, and online publications.

As an orthodox Muslim, Sarwari has faced many challenges. She uses humor and personal experiences to promote dialogue and foster tolerance towards people of all races, religions, and backgrounds. Her speeches are designed to be inspirational and motivational.

Sarwari’s lecture is presented by the Associated Students of Centralia College, the Centralia College Student Life and Involvement Center, International Student Programs, and Phi Theta Kappa.
