Due to construction, Centralia College will permanently close Washington Avenue and Walnut Street through campus effective Monday, Feb. 15.
The Washington Avenue closure will affect the two-blocks that run from Pear Street on the south end to Centralia College Boulevard on the north.
The Walnut Street closure will affect a one-block section from King Street to Washington Avenue.
These street closures are permanent.
For pedestrians traveling between the west and east ends of campus, a handicapped-accessible sidewalk has been built around the construction zone.
The street closures are part of the campus’ long-term plans and facilitate the construction of the TransAlta Commons Building, which is expected to be completed in the summer of 2017.
