CC car club plans first car show

The Centralia College car club, Vintage Wheels, is looking for participants in its first-ever car show on Saturday, May 21, part of the Spring Fest celebration on campus.

Vintage Wheels is accepting “anything with wheels” for its first show. This includes all makes and models of cars and trucks, as well as motorcycles and tractors. The show has no vehicle age requirements.

CC student Andrea Pinkerton started the Vintage Wheels club in January. The club meets at noon on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month in Kemp 114. It is open to all.

“For over a year, I kept thinking how cool it would be to have a car club on campus,” she said. “It hit me last summer. I thought, ‘Why don’t I start one?’ Everyone on campus is so pumped to have a car club and a chance to show off their vehicles.”

The car show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot at Ash Street and Centralia College Boulevard. The car show is part of the weeklong Spring Fest celebration, which will include the Blazer 5k.

To register your vehicle for the show, contact Andrea at 360-880-2058 or
