Centralia College is seeking a Vet Corps Navigator to lead the campus Veterans Center and serve as a resource for student veterans. The position will start Aug. 28 and run through June.
“This position has a strategic role, not only in the Veterans Center, but with all of the veterans on our campus,” explained Robert Cox, vice president of Student Services. “It’s a volunteer position, but there is a monthly stipend and a significant education benefit once the volunteer term ends.”
Deadline to apply is July 31.
The Vet Corps Navigator position is open to all veterans, their spouses, and dependents. A high school diploma is required. The position receives a volunteer stipend of $1,343 per month for full time service at the college. After the term of the position ends in June, the volunteer will receive an education benefit of $5,730.
The Washington Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Corps program is funded through an Americorps grant.
