Local oncologist Dr. Dustan Osborn has a passion to serve his patients, his community, education, and art. He also has a passion for photography. Combining these passions, he has generously donated a large selection of his photography now on display in the hall off of the lobby of Corbet Theater at Centralia College.
For a limited time, matted 8x10s of these photographs are available for $30. All of the proceeds directly fund scholarships at Centralia College.
Dr. Osborn will be on-hand to discuss his work after the Charlie Albright concert at the college April 8.
“Over the years, I’ve hired about 15 nurses who came out of the Centralia College nursing program,” said Dr. Osborn. “Helping fund scholarships is one way for me to express my appreciation for the college and the amazing nurses I’ve worked with in my practice.”
Dr. Osborn’s photography is featured in the Chehalis and Olympia offices of Osborn Cancer Care, as well as throughout the Capital Medical Center in Olympia.
Dr. Osborn earned his PhD in biophysics at Michigan State University, his MD at Dalhousie University, and his Oncology training as a fellow at the Dana Faber Cancer Center at Harvard University. He completed a fellowship in medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine. He has served as chief of staff at Capital Medical Center, and was on the board of trustees for more than 10 years. He is a past chairman of the Tumor Board at Capital Medical Center and Providence Centralia Hospital. He has also participated in clinical research and facilitated many patients getting into national clinical trials.
If you are interested in one (or more) of the prints, contact the Centralia College Foundation at 360-623-8942. All forms of payment will be accepted. Please do not attempt to remove any photographs on display.
