CC hosts Agriculture Education Forum

Centralia College and the Thurston County Economic Development Council will be hosting an Agriculture Education Forum from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the commons at Tenino High School, 500 W. Second St.

This will be a facilitated conversation about agriculture in our region. Community input is critical.

“Specifically, we want to know how Centralia College can partner with the agricultural community to provide meaningful job training programs and stimulate the agricultural economies of Lewis and Thurston counties,” explained Dr. Bob Mohrbacher, Centralia College president. “We will use this information to make decisions about new programs at the college.”

Participants will also be asked for input on what can be done to encourage young people to pursue agriculture careers and what local partnerships might facilitate the growth of agriculture opportunities.

Refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend.
